Usha Chandar

Usha Chandar, M.A., M.Sc., Dip., is a research officer at the Electronic Media Production Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Having been involved in educational and communication research for over 16 years, she has earned an M.A. in distance education from IGNOU, M.Sc. in zoology from Delhi University, and a post-graduate Diploma in Science Journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia University. She has been instrumental in working with all the technological innovations and adaptations at IGNOU, the more recent being the testing of satellite radio used for distance learning. Currently, Ms. Chandar is undertaking a series of studies on the use of FM radio, specifically the Gyan Vani Network, by IGNOU for educational purposes.

Ramesh Sharma

Ramesh Sharma Ph.D., is Regional Director at Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has a M.Sc., M.Ed., and Ph.D. in educational technology, and has taught undergraduate and graduate classes for nearly ten years. He has co-authored a book on open and distance education research, and is on the editorial board of the journals The International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning and Distance Education.
